Château Lafite Rothschild
A legendary estate rooted in the terroir of Pauillac, a symbol of excellence and winemaking tradition since 1868.
- Terroir: Gravelly and clay-limestone soils of Pauillac, the cradle of Bordeaux's greatest wines, shaping cuvées of mineral elegance and rare depth.
- Vinification: Aged in barrels for a precise expression of the fruit, combining structure and finesse, in keeping with an exceptional winemaking heritage.
Tasting notes for Château Lafite Rothschild Carruades de Lafite 2005
To the eye: A deep garnet robe of silky density, where light dances with a velvety intensity.
On the nose: A generous bouquet unfolds with notes of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, lifted by hints of cedar, blonde tobacco, and a subtle graphite minerality, evoking the gravelly soils of Pauillac.
On the palate: A broad and rounded texture unfolds with elegant tension, carried by silky tannins and a lively acidity, while a saline and persistent finish reveals the full purity of the terroir.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.

A vintage of balance and maturity, where ideal climatic conditions allowed the grapes to achieve a rare concentration while preserving freshness and complexity.
