Tasting notes for Château Latour 2002
Appearance – Deep ruby robe with purple reflections, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
Nose – Aromas of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by a hint of blonde tobacco, damp undergrowth and a subtle chalky note, like a mineral breath rising from the gravels.
Palate – Ample and precise attack, firm yet velvety tannins, lively acidity balancing a generous body, long and saline finish, carried by an elegant tension.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage of patience and rigor, where the cool climate sculpted wines of remarkable structure, combining power and finesse.
- Aging potential: 30 to 40 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (12–14°C, controlled humidity).
