The Château Latour 2013, a jewel of Pauillac, comes from gravelly soils. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals notes of black fruits, cedar and spices after 18 months in oak barrels. Its precise, mineral texture makes it a wine for cellaring, ideal with red meats.
A symbol of excellence in Pauillac, this legendary estate embodies the heritage of great Bordeaux wines, shaped by an exceptional terroir and an uncompromising winemaking tradition.
- Terroir : Deep gravels and clays of the Médoc, on the banks of the Gironde, imparting a chalky minerality and precise tannic structure to the wines.
- Vinification : Meticulous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in French oak barrels for silky elegance and long persistence.
Tasting notes for Château Latour 2013
- To the eye : A deep garnet red robe with violet highlights, of silky density and crystalline brilliance, heralding a wine that is both generous and refined.
- On the nose : First aromas of blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by more enveloping notes of cedar, blonde tobacco and gentle spices such as star anise, all lifted by a saline and mineral touch, the signature of the great terroirs of Pauillac.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by silky tannins and a taut acidity that underline the purity of the black fruits; the chalky minerality stretches into a long and elegant finish, where liquorice and undergrowth intertwine.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

- Aging potential : To be enjoyed through 2041, provided it is stored in a cellar at a stable temperature (12–14°C) and away from light.
