Nestled in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, this historic estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 16th century, combining family tradition and innovation.
- Terroir : Deep gravels of quartz pebbles, clays and shell sands, endowing the wines with a distinctive minerality and a rare elegance.
- Vinification : Precise blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, aged with patience in French oak barrels for a silky structure and aromatic complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 2000
To the eye – A deep garnet red robe with brick-red reflections, of a velvety density and a crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – A generous bouquet where ripe red fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), grilled herbs, a touch of warm terracotta and a subtle graphite note intermingle, all lifted by a saline and mineral hint.
On the palate – A smooth and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and harmonious finish, where nuances of tobacco and soft spices emerge.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to unlock its full complexity.
