From clay-limestone soils, the Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes 2000 from Domaine François Lamarche is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Aromas of cherry, spices and undergrowth. A lively palate, elegant tannins and chalky minerality. Perfect with duck breast or cheese, to be enjoyed until 2025.

Heir to a two-hundred-year-old winemaking tradition in the Côte de Nuits, this family estate embodies the discreet elegance of the great wines of Burgundy.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone plots in Vosne-Romanée, where Pinot Noir draws its minerality and finesse under a temperate climate.
- Vinification: Hand-harvested grapes, aged in oak barrels (variable proportion of new wood), respecting natural balances to produce precise and silky wines.

To the eye: Garnet robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density where light dances with a chalky subtlety.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, dried rose and damp undergrowth, lifted by a touch of liquorice and a saline minerality reminiscent of calcareous soils.
On the palate: Velvety texture, lively acidity and melted tannins in a taut harmony, carried by a long finish where gentle spices and a hint of graphite intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.

A generous vintage, marked by a hot and dry summer, yielding full-bodied wines while retaining a beautiful freshness.
