The Pétrus 1992, from Pomerol, flourishes on black clay soils. This Merlot wine (96%) offers notes of blackberry, cocoa and tobacco after ageing in new oak barrels. Tasting notes for Pétrus 1992
To the eye: A deep garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of velvety density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: A generous bouquet where aromas of wild blackberry, candied prune, cedar and blonde tobacco mingle, lifted by a subtle hint of graphite and black truffle.
On the palate: A smooth and fleshy texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, saline finish where notes of liquorice and soft spices unfold.
Serve at 16–18 °C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by early maturity and a balance between concentration and freshness, typical of the great Pomerols.
- Ageing potential: To be enjoyed through to 2042, provided it is stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
