The Pétrus 2000, a fine wine from Pomerol, is born on a unique blue clay terroir. Made from Merlot from forty-year-old vines, it reveals aromas of truffle, blackberry and spices, refined in oak barrels. On the palate, velvety and mineral, it pairs beautifully with game and aged cheeses.

Nestled at the heart of Pomerol, Pétrus embodies the excellence of a unique terroir and a viticultural heritage passed down with rigour.
- Terroir : 11.5 hectares of deep blue clay, rare and ancient, shaping wines of incomparable density and minerality.
- Vinification : Parcel-by-parcel and precise, combining concrete vats and barrel aging to reveal the purity of the Merlot.
Tasting notes for Pétrus 2000
To the eye – A garnet-red robe with deep highlights, of silky density and an almost mineral brilliance.
On the nose – First, aromas of wild blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by notes of black truffle, liquorice and a saline touch reminiscent of the terroir's clay.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and chalky tension, with a long finish where gentle spices and dark chocolate intertwine.
Serve at 15.5°C in a Bordeaux glass to bring out its full complexity.

A sun-drenched vintage, marked by perfect grape ripeness, offering balance and depth.
- Aging potential : To be cellared until 2050 in a cool (12–14°C) and humid cellar.
