The Domaine Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2018 in magnum comes from the limestone soils of Bâtard-Montrachet. This barrel-aged Chardonnay captivates with its notes of citrus, flowers and its minerality. With a velvety texture and 15 years of ageing potential, it pairs beautifully with shellfish and aged cheeses.
Heir to a family savoir-faire since 1930, Domaine Ramonet embodies the excellence of Burgundy's grand crus, rooted at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and the unique microclimate of the Côte de Beaune, sublimating the mineral expression and tension of Grand Cru Chardonnays.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels for a harmony between fruit purity and woody complexity, without ever masking the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2018
To the eye: Golden robe with green highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a dense and precise substance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied lemon, white peach and fresh almond, lifted by notes of flint and a saline touch, the signature of the chalky terroir.
On the palate: A lively and taut attack, supported by a chalky minerality and elegant acidity, leading to a long, saline finish where yellow fruits and gentle spices intertwine.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2018
A generous and well-balanced vintage, where the ripeness of the fruit combines with a mineral freshness, typical of the great white Burgundies.
- Ageing potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled hygrometry).
