The Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet 2017, born on clay-limestone soils, is a white wine aged in barrels. Notes of citrus, pear and vanilla on the nose, silky and mineral palate, taut freshness. Perfect until 2030 with scallops or grilled lobster.
Nestled in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet since the 1920s, this family estate embodies the excellence of great white Burgundy wines, blending tradition and precision.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, where the Premier Crus of Puligny-Montrachet reveal a chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification : Fruit-forward methods, barrel-aged for a silky texture and vibrant tension, the estate's hallmark.
Tasting notes for Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs-Canet 2017
To the eye: A golden robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity and an unctuous texture, like a veil of liquid silk.
On the nose: Aromas of crisp Williams pear, fresh apricot and candied citrus zest, lifted by a touch of pastry cream and a subtle chalky salinity, evoking the breezes of the Puligny hillsides.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, driven by a citrusy acidity that stretches into a chalky minerality, while the satiny texture envelops the palate with a long, saline finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
2017 Vintage
A vintage marked by early ripeness and a perfect balance between freshness and concentration, ideal for lovers of white Burgundy wines that are both taut and generous.
- Aging potential : Best kept for 8 to 12 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C), away from light, to allow its minerality and aromas to fully develop.
