The Pascal Agrapart Grand Cru Avizoise 2019, Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut, is born from the chalky soils of Avize. Crafted from Chardonnay from the old vines Robarts and Gros Yeux, it is aged in oak barrels for a dense minerality and a silky texture. Vibrant freshness, notes of citrus and white flowers. Perfect for 6 to 10 years of cellaring, with aged cheeses or white meats.
A family estate rooted at the heart of the Côte des Blancs, where Chardonnay has flourished on chalky soils for generations.
- Terroir: The old-vine plots of Avize, classified Grand Cru, reveal soils of clay and chalk, the signature of a vibrant minerality.
- Vinification: An artisanal approach – fermentation in oak barrels, aging on lees and late disgorgement – for champagnes of rare purity.
Tasting notes for the wine Pascal Agrapart Grand Cru Avizoise 2019
To the eye: A pale golden robe of silky and luminous texture, like a reflection of liquid chalk.
On the nose: Aromas of white flowers and candied lemon intertwine with notes of toasted hazelnut and flint, carried by a discreet yet persistent salinity.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, where mineral tension meets a dense and chalky substance, leading to a finish of saline and elegant length.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute or a white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2019
A vintage marked by generous maturity, where the coolness of the nights preserved the balance and tension of the Chardonnay.
- Aging potential: To be enjoyed until 2035 and beyond, provided it is stored away from light and temperature variations.
