The Calon Ségur 2015, a third classified growth from Saint-Estèphe, draws its character from the gravel and clay soils of the Médoc. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (82%), Merlot and Petit Verdot, aged 20 months in barrels, it reveals notes of blackcurrant and spices. A silky palate, vibrant minerality and a persistent finish. Ideal for 10-15 years, paired with red meats or aged cheeses.
Château Calon Ségur
A legendary estate rooted in the heart of Saint-Estèphe, where history and rigour shape wines of rare elegance.
- Terroir: Gravelly and clay soils of the Médoc, lending the wines a mineral structure and a depth characteristic of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.
- Vinification: A precise blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, patiently aged in oak barrels to reveal a silky tension and a long finish.

To the eye: A deep red robe with garnet highlights, silky in density and crystalline in brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, wild blackberry and violet, lifted by a hint of cedar and a subtle saline note, the hallmark of the great terroirs of Saint-Estèphe.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, silky tannins wrapped in a dense, mineral and elegant texture, prolonged by a saline and persistent finish.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
