The Château Haut-Brion 2013 Magnum, from the gravelly soils of Pessac-Léognan, is a red wine of great precision. Notes of blackcurrant, tobacco and liquorice, aged in oak barrels. A taut, mineral palate with silky tannins. Perfect for cellaring until 2030, it elevates red meats and cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 16th century, combining family tradition and innovation.
- Terroir : Deep gravels and gravelly soils, the signature of a unique terroir where Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc flourish under a temperate oceanic climate.
- Vinification : Careful aging in oak barrels, respecting the natural balance of the grape varieties for wines of timeless elegance.
Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion 2013 Magnum
- To the eye : Deep purple robe with garnet reflections, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : Aromas of wild blackberry, candied blackcurrant and cedar, lifted by a hint of blonde tobacco and a subtle chalky salinity.
- On the palate : Velvety attack, fine and taut tannins, carried by a lively acidity and a graphite minerality, for a long and precise finish.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
