Château Léoville Barton Nestled in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, this family estate embodies two centuries of exacting standards and winemaking tradition. - Terroir: Deep gravels and clay-limestone soils of the Médoc, shaping wines of mineral elegance and precise structure. - Vinification: A rigorous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, patiently aged in oak barrels to reveal a silky tension and aromatic complexity. Tasting notes for Château Léoville Barton 2009 Eye – A deep red robe with garnet reflections, dense and luminous, betraying a generous substance and velvety texture. Nose – Aromas of fresh blackcurrant and wild blackberry intertwine with notes of blond tobacco, cedar pencil and a saline touch, evoking the breezes of the estuary. Palate – A silky attack gives way to a vibrant tension, carried by fine tannins and a chalky minerality, before a long, persistent finish where dark fruits and gentle spices mingle. Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
