Château Léoville Barton A family estate rooted in the legendary terroir of Saint-Julien, where the Barton heritage blends with the demands of a Grand Cru Classé. - Terroir: Deep gravel and clay-limestone soils of the Saint-Julien appellation, giving the wines a mineral structure and a distinguished elegance. - Vinification: A precise blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in oak barrels for a harmonious balance between power and finesse. Tasting notes for Château Léoville Barton 2009 To the eye: a deep garnet-red robe, dense and silky, with still-vivid reflections. On the nose: aromas of ripe blackcurrant, wild blackberry, and violet intertwine, lifted by notes of cedar, blonde tobacco, and a saline graphite touch. On the palate: a velvety texture, carried by precise acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, taut finish where soft spices emerge. Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity. Vintage 2009 A sunny and generous vintage, where the ripeness of the grapes is married to a refined tannic structure, typical of the great Saint-Juliens. - Ageing potential: 20 to 30 years, to be kept under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled hygrometry).
