Domaine Armand Rousseau Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for nearly a century, combining tradition and precision to reveal the quintessence of Pinot Noir. - Terroir : Gravel, marl and limestone soils, typical of the Côte de Nuits, shape wines of vibrant minerality and rare elegance. - Vinification : A respectful approach – ageing in French oak barrels, delicate maceration – for cuvées that are both pure and structured, a faithful reflection of their origin.
Tasting notes for Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 2023 Appearance: A ruby red robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous density, like liquid velvet capturing the light. Nose: First notes of morello cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by a touch of peony and violet, before a subtle chalky minerality comes to balance the whole, evoking the limestone subsoils of Gevrey. Palate: A satin texture, carried by a lively and precise acidity, where ripe red fruits, gentle spices and a discreet saltiness intertwine; the finish, long and taut, leaves an impression of purity and persistence. Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its aromas.
