The Ruchottes Chambertin 2020 from Domaine Armand Rousseau, Grand Cru of Gevrey-Chambertin, is born on limestone soils. To the eye: a garnet red robe with deep highlights, of a silky texture and crystalline density.
On the nose: aromas of fresh black cherry, wild violet, subtle liquorice and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: an elegant attack, carried by a lively acidity and a taut minerality, before a long and saline finish, where gentle spices and silky tannins intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to enhance its complexity.
