The Domaine Arlaud Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2017, from the clay-limestone hillsides of Burgundy, reveals a highly precise Pinot Noir. Aged in barrels, it offers notes of cherry and spices, a velvety texture and a vibrant minerality. Perfect through 2035 with rich dishes.
Heir to a family know-how rooted in Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Arlaud embodies the alliance between Burgundian tradition and regenerative viticulture.
- Terroir: 17 hectares in the Côte de Nuits, including four Grand Crus – clay-limestone soils, continental climate, mineral signature of the appellations.
- Vinification: gravity-based approach, spontaneous fermentations, aging without additives – a pursuit of purity to reveal the soul of Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Arlaud Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2017
To the eye: a deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky texture and a chalky density that heralds its structure.
On the nose: fresh black cherry, wild blackberry, a hint of licorice and undergrowth, lifted by a saline note and a flint minerality.
On the palate: a velvety attack, lively and precise acidity, elegant tannins with graphite accents, and a long finish carried by a mineral tension and a persistent salinity.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its complex aromas.

- Aging Potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from vibrations.
