Nestled in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, this iconic estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for centuries, combining family tradition and exceptional expertise.
- Terroir : Deep gravel over a subsoil of clay, sand and limestone, lending the wines a distinctive minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification : A meticulous blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, aged in oak barrels for a silky structure and aromatic complexity.
Tasting notes for Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2000
- On the eye : Deep garnet-red robe with tiled reflections, dense and luminous, revealing an unctuous texture and generous substance.
- On the nose : Aromas of wild blackberry and ripe blackcurrant intertwine with notes of cedar, graphite and blonde tobacco, underscored by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
- On the palate : Velvety attack, melted yet present tannins, supported by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a long and harmonious finish marked by soft spices and a hint of leather.
Serve between 17 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
