The Chambertin Grand Cru 2009 from Domaine Trapet Père et Fils is a Pinot Noir from the calcareous terroirs of Chambertin. Ripe fruits, spices and chalky minerality compose its aromatic palette. On the palate, silky and vibrant, it pairs beautifully with red meats and aged cheeses. Cellar until 2049.
Heir to a family expertise rooted in Gevrey-Chambertin, this estate embodies the alliance between Burgundian tradition and living viticulture.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Grand Crus, where Pinot Noir expresses its mineral nobility.
- Vinification: Precise aging, respect for whole clusters and natural fermentation for wines of elegant tension.
Tasting notes for Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chambertin Grand Cru 2009
In the glass – Deep purple robe with garnet reflections, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – Freshness of morello cherry and wild blackberry, evolving toward notes of liquorice, damp undergrowth and a saline touch of flint.
On the palate – Velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and taut finish where gentle spices and candied black fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its complex aromas.
Vintage 2009
A generous and structured vintage, where the ripeness of the grapes is allied with a preserved freshness for a rare balance.
- Aging potential: To be enjoyed until 2049, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from vibrations.
