Tasting notes for Château Pichon Longueville Baron Les Tourelles de Longueville 2000
In the glass: A ruby robe with tile-red reflections, dense and slightly veiled by the years, revealing a silky texture and generous substance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe red fruits — blackcurrant, blackberry — lifted by notes of blonde tobacco, cedar and a saline touch reminiscent of damp undergrowth.
On the palate: A round and fleshy attack, carried by melted but still present tannins, a lively acidity that brings tension, and a long finish where sweet spices and chalky minerality intertwine.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to unlock its full complexity.
