Nestled at the heart of Pauillac, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 18th century, under the aegis of the Barons de Rothschild.

Tasting notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 1983
On the eye: Garnet robe with tawny reflections, of silky density and a brilliance subtly veiled by time.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh cedar, wild blackberry and blond tobacco, lifted by a touch of graphite and a saline hint evoking the estuary breezes.
On the palate: Velvety texture, melted but still present tannins, a lively acidity and chalky minerality carrying a long and harmonious finish, marked by notes of liquorice and noble leather.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C – Bordeaux glass to release the full complexity of this grand cru.
Vintage 1983
A classic Pauillac vintage, where the balance between maturity and freshness allowed the full nobility of the terroir to be expressed.
- Aging potential: To be savoured today or cellared for a further 10 to 15 years in a temperature- and humidity-controlled cellar.
