The Château Lafite Rothschild 2023, a jewel from Pauillac, is born on gravelly and clay-limestone soils. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (93%), aged in new barriques, it combines silky tannins and persistent minerality. Perfect for cellaring until 2060, it pairs beautifully with red meats and truffles.
A legendary estate, rooted in the gravels of Pauillac, where the Rothschild heritage blends with a tireless quest for purity.
- Terroir : Soils of fine gravel and aeolian sand, resting on a clay-limestone bedrock, shape wines of a unique mineral elegance, typical of the Pauillac Appellation.
- Vinification : A patient ageing in French oak barriques, where the precision of the blends and the mastery of the tannins reveal the estate's refined signature.
Tasting notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 2023
To the eye – A deep purple robe, of a silky density, where the light dances with an almost liquid intensity, revealing garnet reflections with sharp outlines.
On the nose – First, aromas of fresh blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by a touch of cedar and blonde tobacco, before a saline, almost iodine-tinged note comes to underline the chalky minerality of the terroir.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and an elegant tension, where the fine tannins stretch into a long and saline finish, leaving an impression of graphite and gentle liquorice.
Serve between 15 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complexity.

A vintage marked by a remarkable freshness, where the balance between ripeness and tension gives rise to a wine of rare precision.
- Aging potential : To be cellared until 2060 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
