The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes 2019 from Domaine Ramonet draws its minerality from the limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune. This Chardonnay, aged in barrels (33% new oak), reveals notes of white peach and hazelnut, underpinned by a chalky touch. On the palate, its silky texture and vibrant freshness deliver a saline finish. To be enjoyed until 2030 alongside scallops or lobster.

A Burgundian institution since the 1930s, Domaine Ramonet embodies the excellence of the great whites of the Côte de Beaune, shaped by an exceptional terroir and an uncompromising family tradition.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone and marly soils of Chassagne-Montrachet, where Premier Cru vineyards such as Les Ruchottes express a chalky minerality and a saline tension, the signature of the great Chardonnays of Burgundy.
- Vinification : Extended aging on fine lees, with a measured use of new oak barrels (33%) to preserve the purity of the fruit and the precision of the terroir, without artifice.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes 2019
To the eye – A pale gold robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity, where the viscosity of the tears betrays a silky texture and a discreet concentration.
On the nose – First, aromas of white peach and fresh apricot, followed by notes of hazelnut butter and toasted bread, before a saline touch and a hint of flint reveal the chalky depth of the terroir.
On the palate – The attack is lively and precise, carried by a taut acidity that blooms into an unctuous, almost creamy texture, where calcareous minerality and a long finish intertwine, marked by a persistent salinity and an elegance free of heaviness.
Serve at 12–14°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its aromatic expression.
2019 Vintage
A year of sunshine and preserved freshness, the 2019 combines fruit ripeness and mineral tension, offering an ideal balance for the great whites of Chassagne-Montrachet.
- Aging Potential : To be cellared for 10 to 15 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light, to allow the wine to develop its complexity while preserving its vivacity.
