Tasting notes for Pétrus 2007
To the eye: a deep red robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky, revealing a generous substance and a crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: aromas of black cherry and ripe plum intertwine with notes of truffle, damp undergrowth and a touch of graphite, all underscored by a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate: a velvety, almost unctuous texture, carried by a lively acidity and a mineral tension that guides a long and persistent finish, where gentle spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
