Tasting notes for Château Pétrus Pétrus 1995
On the eye: A garnet robe with tawny reflections, of a silky density and a velvety brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, prune, fresh truffle and roasted cocoa, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of blonde tobacco.
On the palate: A smooth and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and persistent finish with notes of coffee and soft spices.
Serve at 16–18 °C in a Bordeaux glass to fully exalt its complexity.
