Tasting notes for Pétrus 1995
On the eye – A deep garnet robe, of a silky density, where tawny reflections betray maturity without ever weighing down the brilliance.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet of wild blackberries, black truffle and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of melting liquorice.
On the palate – A velvety, almost fleshy texture, where mineral tension dialogues with a lively acidity, prolonged by a finish of chalky and persistent length.
To be served at 15 °C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

- Aging potential : At its peak today, this wine can continue to improve for 10 to 15 years, provided it is stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled hygrometry).
