Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 1984
To the eye – A deep red robe with amber highlights, silky in texture and crystalline in brilliance.
On the nose – Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, sweet liquorice, roasted coffee and a saline hint of graphite, evolving towards notes of aged leather and blonde tobacco.
On the palate – A round and generous attack, velvety tannins with accents of dark fruits and gentle spices, supported by a chalky minerality and an elegantly long finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
