The Château Mouton Rothschild 1975, a jewel of Pauillac, comes from gravelly soils. This wine, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in new oak barrels, offers aromas of cedar, chocolate and dark fruits, with velvety tannins. To be savoured with a flambéed woodcock or game.
A symbol of excellence in Pauillac, this estate combines aristocratic heritage and artistic innovation since the 19th century.
- Terroir: Deep gravel of the Mouton plateau, in the Pauillac AOC, where the well-draining soils sculpt wines of rare intensity.
- Vinification: Meticulous blending dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 20 months in new barrels for a structure that is both powerful and refined.
Tasting notes for the wine Château Mouton Rothschild 1975
On the eye: Garnet robe with tile-red reflections, dense and slightly viscous, betraying an advanced yet still vibrant maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of candied blackcurrant, aged cedar, blonde tobacco and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: Silky texture yet still taut from melted tannins, a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that carries a long and spiced finish.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its most subtle nuances.
