The Château Mouton Rothschild 2017, a jewel of Pauillac, is born from gravelly soils. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (90%), this wine aged in new oak barrels unveils notes of dark fruits and spices. Its velvety palate will keep until 2050. Perfect with game and refined dishes.
A symbol of Bordeaux excellence, this family estate has embodied, for generations, the art of sublimating the terroir of Pauillac.
- Terroir : 80 hectares of deep gravels over a clay-limestone subsoil, the historic heart of the Pauillac appellation, where Cabernet Sauvignon reveals its full nobility.
- Vinification : Aged 20 months in new barrels, a marriage of tradition and precision for wines of structured elegance and rare longevity.
Tasting notes for Château Mouton Rothschild 2017
To the eye – A deep garnet robe with purple highlights, dense and luminous, heralding a wine that is both generous and refined.
On the nose – First, aromas of ripe blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by notes of cedar, blonde tobacco and a mineral touch evoking graphite, all wrapped in a subtle toasted vanilla.
On the palate – A silky and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, where the fine tannins stretch into a long and fragrant finish, marked by gentle spices and a saline hint.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its bouquet.
Vintage 2017
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where the coolness of the nights preserved the tension and purity of the fruit.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed until 2050, provided it is stored between 12 and 15°C, away from light and at a stable humidity level.
